TRAINING IN QUESTIONED DOCUMENTS:
Ulhas Athale is a Bachelor  of Commerce from Nagpur University which he completed with Honours in  1981. Further, he did his Graduation in Law and was conferred in 1984 with the  LL.B.degree  from one of the reputed Institutions of Law in Central India- The University College of Law,  Nagpur.

He has completed two-year full time training in the field of examination of Questioned Documents and handwriting, fingerprint examination under the guidance and supervision of  a renowned expert Mr. C.T.Bhanagay, Government Consultant for Questioned Documents, handwriting, fingerprint expert and criminologist.  The extensive training covered the entire aspects of detecting frauds; forgery; impersonations & the like. 

EXPERIENCE:

Ulhas Athale  started  his practice as  Assistant Examiner of Questioned Document with Mr. C.T.Bhanagay in 1984. After two years he started his  independent practice simultaneously. So far he has examined about 2000 cases involving about 6000 disputed documents. These cases were referred and are being referred to for the opinion by various courts both civil and criminal of states like Maharashtra , Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka etc. Various banks, Government Departments like Income Tax, State Irrigation Department Government Undertakings like Western Coal Fields, Powergrid Corporation etc., and individuals also refer the cases. He has examined the signatures/writings in different  Indian scripts like Devnagari, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, and Urdu. He has also appeared as expert witness in various courts in different states  and also in Departmental Enquries.

His expert Opinion and evidence have been accepted on numerous occasions. Further, he is also a visiting lecturer in "The Judicial Officers Training Institute" of  Maharashtra Government, India  and also in the "Staff Training College" of Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank at Nagpur.

Ulhas Athale has with him full technology support including the critical scientific instruments like Ultra Violet Ray, various types of Magnifiers, Measuring Instruments, etc. for document examination and photographic apparatus.
